We design the Solidarity Clinics trademark in favor of UNICEF

Shahadat is just five years old and he cannot run or play football with his friends. Polio has made him lame forever. Story of Shahadat is a similar one to many other thousands of children from many parts of the world who have not had the opportunity to receive polio vaccinations. Just two drops of medication would have ensured that Shahadat would never have needed to drag one of his legs around.
Conscious of this cruel reality, the firm, Consulting Salud, has started up a scheme of “Solidarity Clinics”, a pioneering initiative that proposes that all private clinics should join in on a project by means of which they each donate 1% of their income to the UNICEF program “100% vaccinated children”. And the people behind this Project requested us to design a trademark to promote their image.
As soon as the task was given to us, our sketchers got straight down to work and the result is this dual hearts design: the bigger one gently cares for the smaller heart as they share a compassionate look. A tender loving image drawn in the singular style of Kukuxumusu.
Along with this symbol, of the two hearts, we have also designed the trademark which will appear in all the clinics which have joined in this initiative as well as on all the media messages online or offline for this project. Furthermore, in this design, we have managed to find a graphic solution to the linking this new trademark with that of UNICEF, the collaborator in this project.
Every 20 seconds a child is dying somewhere from a lack of vaccination injections, according to reports made by UNICEF. And that is why one of the priorities of this international organization for the protection of children is to aim for a 100% vaccination coverage for children and put a stop to the 1, 5 million infant deaths that occur each year due to a lack of medication.
We are heartily pleased to have been able to put a face and eyes on this praiseworthy enterprise. We sincerely hope that our drawing will serve to conquer many hearts and ensure that in the coming year UNICEF will have more resources to work with on its vaccination program. Just one simple example serves to show what can be achieved – it should be remembered that just 50 euros can vaccinate 142 children against polio.
