The Atapuerca Guides, dressed by Kukuxumusu
The guides at Atapuerca launched a new uniform today which has been designed by Kukuxumusu at the Visitors Reception Center at Atapuerca. Two of the co-directors of the famous archeology site, Juan Luis Arsuaga and Eudald Carbonell, and vice-presidents of the Atapuerca foundation were in attendance along with Jaime Mateu, The Territorial Delegate from the Junta de Castilla y León Province. Also present was the President of the Burgos Provincial Social Services Foundation and Javier Vicente, Managing Director of the Sistema Atapuerca Cultura de la Evolución (from the Junta de Castilla y León) and Pedro Balboa, Director of the Communications Department at Kukuxumusu.
Mikel Urmeneta, founder-member and creative director of Kukuxumusu could not attend the event but he did write some words in which he recalled his association with Atapuerca and with Juan Luis Arsuaga.
Kukuxumusu’s collaboration does not end there. The tee shirt design worn by the guides will be marketed at different outlets and each number of the new journal from Atapuerca will include a drawing made by the “the flea” company.
