It’s your turn to write the tale and you could start with your T-shirt

We offer you the collection of Girl´s Empowerment T-shirts with prints by Kukuxumusu for Easy Wear from the El Corte Inglés. The GETS collection features four drawings where our little “Red” does things that would have driven Charles Perrault crazy when he came across this traditional fairy tale. “Red” is taking a Selfie with the wolf, she is giving him a good kick in the cobblers, she tosses him to the ground and has a roll with him… We are not making any kind of statement about violence or even love or maybe we are…but what we wanted to do is, above all, to try to make a break with tradition because there comes a time when it becomes useless and obsolete. We like to feature equally boys and girls and we like to draw them as we usually draw them on our T-shirts and our drawings.
With the passing of time even the tales change, just as people do too. So, a Little red Riding Hood of today, instead of walking through the wood with her basket, would more likely order a takeaway delivery as she and her granny sit together in front of the box watching Stranger Things. Or perhaps she would be introducing her latest partner, Lobezno, to her grandmother or she would be giving the wolf a good wallop, just to see all the better how he is, or maybe she would be attacking him for being such an useless thing or perhaps even ask him for some advice about how to keep such divine toenails…
The tales of today sometimes come with an open ending or an alternative ending where each protagonist could close the story with an app to suit their own wishes. For sure the modern version of any fairy tale would be different to the classic ones we have always known, without any rescuing huntsmen, without any smart-assed kids, without any predetermined fear of wicked woods and generally full of good people. At these moments of tall tales and wild wolves, from Kukuxumusu we propose four alternative options with the Girl´s Empowerment collection which we have drawn on Easy Wear T-shirts and which are on sale at the El Corte Inglés centers and on their web page.
When we told the people at the El Corte Inglés about this idea and how we were going to do it they took to the idea at once and they too share the same values in this latest promotion. They have let us do our own thing in our own way and given all their support. The fact is that the whole process was pretty “easy” and the result is just right for “wear” and we sure hope that you too like our offer. If you don’t like the drawings, bad luck for you, because the drawings have been chosen by a designer herself and she has said that she is happy with her choice. We, of course, support her choice all the way because these days, if you can leave a bad wolf completely KO and if you can give a good kiss to the good wolf… well, we don’t see anything bad in all that.
You will find the collection on sale at the El Corte Inglés centers and also on the web page. Howl!
