A book that lets you spend a week inside Kukuxumusu

“Creativity overcoming friction – a week inside the brain of Kukuxumusu” is the title of this new book from Mikel Urmeneta. Written in Spanish language and edited by Planeta, the Kukuxumusu drawings serve as a thread to allow the founder and creative director of the Brand name to analyze in a very personal and humorous way the typical problems, customs and contradictions of the human being.
The tale opens on a Wednesday at midnight and moves along with a drawing and a text for each following hour, looking at subjects such as sex, love, drugs, cinema, sport, politics and economics, accompanied by 168 of the best-known Kukuxumusu drawings.
In the words of Urmeneta himself, the book “is a gift for all those who believe that imagination is the best tool to make us feel happy and for those who believe that humor is an absolute necessity to face the daily grind of our lives. The book is for those who use creativity as a strategy for change and for those who believe failure does not come from a lack of resources but rather from a lack of imagination and for all those who believe in being positive and who can put things in perspective and for those who are guided by their subconscious”.
The book holds several surprises inside in the form of collaborations from different personalities from the world of science, sport, culture or communication who have wished to accompany Kukuxumusu on their creative journey: Fernando Sánchez Dragó, Pere Estupinyà, José Andrés, Andreu Buenafuente, América Valenzuela, Juan Luis Arsuaga, Pello Ruiz Cabestany, Vicente Madoz, Jon Sistiaga, Edurne Pasaban, Kirmen Uribe, Pablo Carbonell and Raquel Sánchez Silva.
Recommended for adults, the book is now available in bookstores as well as Kukuxumusu stores in Pamplona and at the Kukuxumusu Online Shop, at a sales price of 16,90 euros.
